Computers in general, get a slower speed over time and everyone love to increase the speed of computer there are tips and tricks about how to increase pc performance I will divide them into two sections software and hardware ensure that if you make all that methods will keep your pc clean and run smoothly. it’s time to improve pc performance so let’s start

First, we will start in the hardware section

The hardware is the heart of your computer and there are some tips about how to increase pc performance

1. Upgrade Your RAM to get better performance

A random-access memory Ram is a form of computer memory that can read and change in any order in simple words ram is used by your pc to save data that come from the CPU temporary when you upgrade your rams you will get better performance

2. Change your storage device HHD to SSD  or m.2

As you know storage devices are too much important because all the data will be saved in them HHD hard disk drive typically is slow and cannot perform a high-speed performance in writing data that come from your ram so if you are asking about how to speed up your PC I advice  you to switch to SSD solid-state drive or m.2 for more good performance that will boost your pc

3. Upgrade Your CPU 

If your motherboard supported a higher CPU that will make some difference in performance to know how you can see the motherboard datasheet

In the software section, we will fix some problems that make your pc run slower and get your PC back to life

1. Limit Programs at startup

Programs that start when your computer startup is necessary to keep your windows running you can see them by pressing ctrl+alt+delete  then task manager and go to the startup tab and disable the unnecessary program.

2. Delete Old Programs

Old programs get space on your hard drive and they may run in the background without your notice so if you aren’t using those programs any more is time to delete them to get free space 

3. Delete Old Files

In deleting old programs  you must delete old files that are not necessary to get free space on your system

4. Run a Cleaner Tools

You can run cleaner tools such as  CCleaner that clean unnecessary temporary files and registry interties you can see this part in the video about how to install and run CCleaner 

5. Clear Your Browsing History & Cookies

Browsers save data inside them such as cookies and browsing history that data some of them are temporary you can delete them if you have an opera browser or chrome that’s the method about how to clear history and cookies 

A- For Opera

  • Open opera
  • Open the Opera menu located in the top left-hand corner of the window.
  • Click Settings
  • Click Privacy & Security
  • Click Clear Browsing Data
  • Choose the time frame of data that you want to clear.
  • Select the item categories you would like to clear.
  • Click the Clear Browsing Data button

B- For Google Chrome

  • go to More settings
  • and select More tools
  • Click Clear browsing data
  • Note that Chrome allows you to delete data within a certain time period
  • If you’ve never deleted the files in your cache before, you’ll want to select All time
  • Check the boxes for Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files
  • and Hit Clear data

6. Optimize and defragment the drive

Optimization of your hard disk is very important. Imagine you have a closet full of stuff and they are randomly stored so when you want an item from this closet you will take time to find it. your drive is like that closet and data are that stuff when you do defragment of your hard disk All files are arranged in the order you can use the Windows defragment tool or simply you can use Defraggler it’s a free tool do all job with some advantage.

7. Check for Viruses

Viruses sometimes slow your pc they griping all resources on your system as ram and CPU power so you must scan your system, if you don’t know how to choose the best protection program you can see this article.

8. Clear the DNS cache on your windows

DNS cache is the temporary storage of information about previous DNS lookup on machine’s os or web browser they are saved local copy on your system but some time is better to make a clear for them to keep all thing work smoothly

To clear DNS open   cmd and run it as administrator then paste the following :

  • write ipconfig /flushdns
  • write ipconfig /renew
  • write netsh winsock reset ok and your pc will reboot…

9. Clear the temp folder

The temp folder is a directory on your windows that is used to store temporary files created by your system clear the temp folder reduces the amount of storage space used

  • windows button +R
  • write in the run box  %temp%  and click ok.
  • ctrl + A press delete
